Finally I saw that worrying had come to nothing. And gave it up. And took my old body and went out into the morning and sang.

about

I have had T1D for about 12.5 years, and I recently completed the DCB program in April 2024. I am a Registered Nurse in NYC with a background in Exercise Science. I am currently pursuing my Health Coach certification and also working towards my CDCES. I am very passionate about helping women with T1D feel empowered to care for themselves and live the life that they want to live without feeling held back by T1D. I love to do anything outdoors and love being social:)

I am a Registered Nurse, so my norm is working long hours. I have completed many endurance biking/running/hiking events. I used to be an exercise physiologist. I was misdiagnosed with a UTI (actually, even that for me was scary at age 16! I was called back to the pediatrician's office a few days later, and they told me that I had type 1 diabetes and needed to go to the hospital immediately. I love walking around NYC! On days off from work, I enjoy reading (historical fiction), biking, yoga, journaling, and just relaxing outside. I love trying out new restaurants in the city with friends and visiting my family in CT as well.
