about

Elisabeth is a certified health coach and registered dietitian at Risely Health.

Elisabeth is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), focusing on holistic healing. She received her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, then went on to receive her Master of Science degree in Nutrition & Dietetics. After graduate school, Elisabeth continued her passion for holistic wellness by enrolling in an herbalism course, which highlights a 'food as medicine' approach. As an RDN, she has extensive knowledge in integrative & functional nutrition, behavioral health, alternative medicine, and the anatomy of movement.

Elisabeth's own healing journey led her to this professional path. She was diagnosed with type one diabetes when she was 9 years old. In addition to type one diabetes, Elisabeth has battled a handful of chronic illnesses, including Multiple Sclerosis, PCOS, Lyme Disease, and Eczema. She has worked with countless practitioners and healers to better understand her body's ability to heal and is now providing that support to others. Elisabeth believes in whole body wellness, which emphasizes a connection of mind, body & soul.

In her 3+ years of experience coaching over 100 clients before joining Risely, Elisabeth has grown particularly skilled and passionate about helping people overcome challenges with nutrition, mindset, exercise, hormones, sleep patterns, relationship to food, gut health, autoimmune disorders, and behavioral health.

When she’s not coaching or supporting clients on their health journeys, Elisabeth loves cooking, skiing, exploring new places, meditation, and working out. Elisabeth lives in Stamford, CT with her corgi.

WHAT t1Ds Are SAYING

Here’s how graduates feel on the other side.

Elisabeth taught me that a lot of small things make a big difference, and that brought me more peace. I used to cry every time I went to the endocrinologist because of the secret turmoil inside me. I do CrossFit and have set record PRs in the last month, and it was because of the nutrition + T1D management I learned from Elisabeth!

Joy C.

Elisabeth listened to the whole problem and not just data like blood sugars, but what was affecting those numbers. I learned how certain proteins and fats affect blood sugar and began anticipating instead of reacting to my BGs. Definitely do this because you learn so much that the endocrinologist doesn't tell you.

It's worth it! The ability to talk to Elisabeth, who has gone through similar experiences and can empathize, is unmatched. Your approach is not strictly numbers-based. She focused on personalized, sustainable ways to better manage T1D and address all the outside factors that play a role, like sleep, stress, etc.

Shelby S.

I was able to speak with someone who has lived similar experiences with T1D and felt seen, heard, and validated. Elisabeth listened, helped set attainable goals and made me appreciate the small wins. I have already shared with my Endo team about my Risely experience and encouraged a fellow T1D to explore opportunities with Risely.
